Tana/Andasibe Sainte Marie Majunga Antsanitia Tana Antsirabe Tsiribihina Tsingy To the bottom
Back in Antananarivo after five days of adventures we were happy just relaxing
Next day we went to the royal palace complex on the highest hill within Antananarivo called Analamanga
Here you find the Palais de la Reine a stone clad reconstruction of a reconstruction
which was destroyed by fire in 1995.
The original palace Manjakamiadana was in wooden and built for Queen Ranavalona I.
This last reconstruction was still not finished and I think it will never happen.
From this hilltop you get a very good perspective of the urban situation which is not so good
Outside Mahitsielfanjaka the house of King Andrianampoinimerina containing a spy ladder
The house is guarded by a stoned Sakalava royal eunuch
Ranavalona III the last queen of Madagascar
The guide could not explaine this stoned bible
The Royal Chapel Fiangonana is very well kept both inside and outside and from here
you have a beautiful view over the heart shaped Lake Anosy surrounded by Jaracanda trees
After one hour of excellent guidance we left the Rova and had a quick lunch before we
went to the Botanical and Zoological Garden of Tsimbazaza
the lush lake Tsimbazaza
this was the only flower I found in the Botanical Garden
I was not impressed by this garden - Next day we went to Antsirabe
