From Tana to Majunga - Mahajanga

After the disastrous crossing we got on the RN1 to Tana and on the way we had some cheap Zebu for lunch
After lunch we did not come so far because the car got an injury, a so called flat tire
which was fixed within ten minutes!
Wake up in Antananarivo Friday 13th waiting for pick up in the afternoon to Majunga
The shortcut to get to the highway RN4 in time was through a landfill site but the effort did not turn out as we
had planned so we had to sleep in the car
After one night in the car we continued our trip to Majunga through the Central Highlands, Hauts-Plateaux
or as we call them the Tiramisu mountains
it is a beautiful sight
We crossed the Betsiboka river
over the Betsiboka bridge the one to the left which has replaced the former Pont de la Kamoro, the one to the right
Since there has been a lot of logging there is very little water in the Betsiboka river
We passed bananas and happy children
and farmers with their cattle on the road
instead of a car they use this kind of vehicle
Arrival in Majunga, this is the street up to our apartment
from were we had a nice view
Family reunion after 14 years!

Next morning we went for a walk to Majunga center. First down to the beach
which was not a nice sight
This is a punishable punishment!

was in a very bad shape, to my opinion
