Tana/Andasibe Sainte Marie Majunga Antsanitia Tana Antsirabe Tsiribihina Tsingy To the bottom
On the way from Tana to Antsirabe on the RN7 we stopped to buy some pineapples
and after that a visit in the village Ambatolampy famous for its aluminium foundries
You can see how the craftsmen work without any protection
with the glowing metal
it looked dangerous!
we bought a turtle and a zebu
but no pot
Our very nice car with air condition was highly appreciated
We had an excellent lunch at the restaurant "Au rendez vous des Pécheurs"
Our trip continued to the artisan Mamy in Antsirabe who showed us how he makes miniature models
reusing rejected materials - we bought this little car
we went into Antsirabe and had a look at their famous Hotel des Thermes
and their station which is no longer in use
Independence Avenue or Grande Avenue
which has a lot of signs, statues and monuments
to my opinion Antsirabe is a beautiful historical town but somehow it seemed to be dejected
the flora was still flourishing though
Pousse pousse is a very common way of going around in Antsirabe
Next day we woke up to sunshine in our luxury hotel The Flower Palace Hotel
Before we left Antsirabe a quick visit to say hello to Silvies family
On our way to Miandrivazo which is a trip of 6 hours by car
Production of bricks is very common
Rice fields
and farming of beans and maize
it was a nice but exhausting trip with beautiful sceneries
At last we arrived in Miandrivazo a busy place and something in between a town and a village
We stayed one night at La Reine Rasalimo where they had a party! Early next morning off to Tsiribihina
