From Sandakan with a stopover in KUL to the Langkawi archipelago on Malaysia´s west coast

The Langkawi archipelago consists of 99 islands surrounded by the Andaman sea
in the strait of Malacca and looked beautiful from the sky.
Now we were going to have some lazy days in the Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort
A wedding we never will forget, not because we participated by eating their cake but they kept us
awake with awful and very loud music. So, we complained (never happened before!) and next day
we were compensated with the resorts famous buffet but I wondered:
"How do the chickens look like on Langkawi?"
The staff of the resort were all happy and friendly and serviceminded all the time
The resort has a pet garden for their guests
Hans was closely observed by the males on the tree
Every day after breakfast we visited the luxury spa facility and had relaxing treatments.

When we were not in the spa we spent our time at the pool
or down at the beach but not on it because the sand was way too hot
Its powder-fine sand is clean and very white
so you need to protect your eyes!
We did not swim in the sea because the water to our mind was too muddy
Areca nuts on the betel tree which I tried and I cannot understand how one can chew them
Disgusting!
The evenings we spent in the CBA - bar with live music every night played by these musicians

After three days just relaxing in the resort we flew back to KUL
